Busy, busy
In the last few weeks, we got the crib assembled, took all of our children’s books out of the attic, and found a good deal on a changing table at a thrift store. Laura has taken all of Anne’s clothes out and hung them up by size in her closet, and she’s been thinking more about how to furnish and decorate the room. Anne’s movements are getting strong enough now that I’ve been able to feel and even see them.
In addition to the more baby-specific preparations, we’ve also been working on more generalized housecleaning. Yesterday, we took about six small moving boxes full of miscellaneous stuff to Goodwill, which visibly reduced the amount of clutter upstairs and made the rooms look nicer. We’re still not done, but it’s really liberating getting all of that stuff out of the house, out of my mind, and off my to-do list.
